Dear Polo Players,
The 2008 Governor's Cup, 6 chukker- 6 goal tournament will be held in the Chicago area on July 3rd-6th.
It will be played in a single elimination format with a consolation bracket and each team is guaranteed two games.
Professional umpires will be used whenever possible and paramedics will be standing by at all games. Also, each team will be responsible for providing two umpire ponies per game.
Please be advised that if you enter this tournament that it will take precedence over all others since there is no way to reschedule, as the tournament is being held only in these four days.
The tournament will be limited to eight teams, on a first come first serve basis.
Deadline for entry is Tuesday June, 17th for out of town teams and Tuesday, June 24th for Chicago teams. The tournament will be limited to 4 out of town teams and 4 Chicago teams. The first 4 out of town teams who submit payment will be eligible. If less than 4 out of town teams are entered by June 17th, then the tournament will open up to additional Chicago teams. The first 4 Chicago teams who submit payment will be entered and the remaining teams will be on a wait list, determined by the amount of out of town team entered by June 17th.
The draw will be held at Silver Spur Club house at 7:00pm on Friday June 27th.
The cost per team will be $2,000 for the tournament, Payable in advance. No team will be scheduled without payment.
